Biography: Giuliana Bianco was born in Italy (Taranto) the 28th September 1974. She got the degree in Chemistry in 1999 at the Università di Basilicata (Italy) and has gained a Full Researcher position at the University of Basilicata (Potenza, Italy), Faculty of Sciences since 2006.Current member of the Academic Board of PhD School in " Chemical Sciences" at the University of Basilicata. Previous academic positions: Ph.D. research fellow in Chemistry at the Dipartimento di Chimica at the University of Basilicata (Potenza, Italy) from November 1999 to 2002. Doctoral visiting student at the Institute fürÖkologischeChemie of GSF - National Research Center for Environment and Health (Germany). Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dipartimento di Chimica for two years. The research field concerns mainly the development of new analytical methodologies based on the use of separative techniques as liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC),capillary electrophoresis (CE), the most modern spectrometry techniques mass (MS) as well as combined techniques (LC-MS, GC-MS, CE-MS) for the determination of compounds of interest in biotechnology, biomedical, agro-food, environmental and microbiological, etc.. She is authored of 456 publications on international scientific journals and more than 70 communications to national and international congresses. She has participated in three research funded projects while was beeing PhD student, and in one of this she was the main researcher responsible for the success of the project, thus, gaining enormous experience in working in funding projects. G. Bianco was involved in the evaluation of research proposals for national (PRIN), international Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) of Cyprus and for the International Bureau of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research at the Project Management Agency c/o German Aerospace Center (DLR).
