Biography: Martin Abrahamyan graduated from the Department
of Theoretical Physics of Yerevan State University (YSU) and was appointed
lecturer in the same department. His scientific interests are theoretical
physics and astrophysics. He authorized more than 200 scientific publications,
including 26 textbooks and monographs. Author of the theory of nested figures
of equilibrium of gravitating masses, the nonlinear model of the spiral
structure of galaxies, the hydrodynamic theory of jet outflows from young star
formations, etc. In 1976, he received his Ph.D. degree, and in
1986, he became a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He headed the
Department of General Physics and Astrophysics of Yerevan State University,
named after Academician V. Hambartsumyan, and the Armenian State Pedagogical
University, named after Kh. Abovyan. Currently, he is Vice-Rector for Science
at Yerevan Haybusak University. He has given master's classes on the dynamics of
galaxies at universities and observatories in Nanjing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Beijing
(China), and Budapest University (Hungary). He has made presentations at many
international scientific conferences.
